Sometimes, the greatest joys come in the form of small achievements that are savoured with the heart. Today at Finca de Uga we have one of those moments we want to share with you.
At Finca de Uga, we are deeply proud to celebrate that two of our cheeses have been recognised at the Agrocanarias 2025 awards: Queso Bodega de Oveja and Queso Azul de Oveja. Both are made with raw milk from Canarian breed sheep, a native breed in danger of extinction, which remains alive thanks to the tireless work of our farmers.
A pressed cheese, matured for about 7 months in a natural cave. Its firm and compact texture surprises with a delicate creaminess that only rich, fatty sheep’s milk can provide. A perfect balance that speaks of time, care, and tradition.
Also born from our sheep’s milk, this cheese is inoculated with cultures that develop its characteristic blue veining. It matures for about 2 months to express its full intensity without losing elegance. A blue cheese with a true Canarian soul.
Each recognition inspires us to continue crafting cheeses with identity, respect for their origin, and a great deal of heart. For us, every piece we make is an act of preserving biodiversity and caring for our environment. We walk this path together, with our eyes set on honouring our land and traditions.
